1. Owen (Jim)1 BRENNAN(441) reference PRR05112 - OBIT was born in Valders, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin 20 JAN 1925. Jim died 7 AUG 2002 in Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, at 77 years of age.

Jim is a dscendant of Martin Zipperer (2241) and Barbara Baumann Johann Zipperer (4066) and Mary Bartel Cinderella Breu and Owen Brennan (Jim's Parents)

OBIT - James Owen Brennen - Sheboygan Press, from Jim Matzen - August, 2002 and MHTR from Agnes Birringer, 12/03      James Brennan, age 77, died peacefully in his sleep after a brief battle with Leukemia on August 7, 2002 at Meadow View Manor in Sheboygan, where he had been a resident since March 2002.    He was born January 20, 1925 in Valders, the son of the late Owen Thomas and Cinderella Brea Brennan. He attended St. Mary's school in Clarks Mills.    In November 1947, he married the former Elaine Pritzl of Brillion. He served in the Army during World War II and upon his return ran Brennan's Bar in Valders. In 1962, he moved to New Holstein where he owned and operated J and B Transport Inc. for many years.    He is survived by two sons: Dennis (Donna) Brennan, Danville, California; Terry (Sandy) Brennan, Kiel; one daughter: Dorene Goswitz, Chippewa Falls; eight grandchildren; three brothers: Dean (Virginia) Brennan, Manitowoc; John (Joan) Brennan, Sheboygan; Thomas (Kathleen) Brennan, Manitowoc; one sister: Susan Kastelic, Sheboygan; two half-brothers: Clifford (Rosey) Brennan, Manitowoc; Dale (Christine) Brennan, Lithonia, Georgia; five half-sisters: Carol (Darwin) Koerth, Carson City, Nevada; Peggy (Loren) Johnson, Kingsford, Michigan; Edie (Al) Hood, Waterville, Maine; Dorothy (Rod) Suttles, Sacramento, California; Joan (Gary) Lemke, Potter; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.    He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Thomas, his mother Cinderella, his step-mother Edith, and four brothers; Howard, Michael, Robert and Bernard.    Jim was an avid sports fan and quite the basketball player in his day. He also enjoyed people and would strike up a conversation with young and old.    Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Military rites will follow the service accorded by VFW Otto Oas Post No. 659.    The family will greet relatives and friends at Pfeffers from 4 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at 6 p.m. A dinner reception will follow at the Eagles Hall in Manitowoc. Cremation and burial of the ashes will be private.    Arrangements are being made by Pfeffers Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
