• Qualifications

  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Be at least nineteen (19) years of age
  • Be a high school graduate or its equivalent (College Preferred)
  • Possess a valid Florida drivers license
  • Be in good physical condition
  • Have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving perjury, or have received a dishonorable or undesirable discharge from any of the armed forces of the United States.
  • Be of good moral character as determined by reasonable investigative procedures.
  • Be Florida Certified in Law Enforcement.

  Pass written examination
  Oral Board
  Background investigation
  Physical examination to include drug screen
  Psychological examination

  Training

  • After you are hired you will undergo a twelve (12) week Field Training Program before you are assigned as a solo unit.
    

  Salary And Benefits

  • $27,276 (Six Month Raise to $30,905) Top Police Officer - $39,049
  • Excellent annual leave benefits, 10 days after first year.
  • Excellent sick leave benefits earned from they day you are employed.
  • Thirteen (13) paid holidays per year. (2.5 times hourly rate if you work on a Holiday.)
  • $500 Uniform and shoe Allowance Per Year
  • Raises at 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, 7 years and 8 years.
  • Paid individual health insurance
  • Paid $25,000 life insurance policy.
