FOX HUNTING
Last updated February 21, 2002

Fox Hunting is another name for radio direction finding. A transmitter is hidden (the fox) and all contestants have a limited amount of time to find the fox.

The equipment needed is a receiver, to hear the signal; a directional antenna, to establish general directional bearings; a field strength meter or an antenna attenuator, to establish local directional bearings; and a good pair of eyes.
