On Aug 13th (Friday the 13th!) Hurricane Charly came directly over Zolfo Springs. It destroyed the piney woods that covered the east side of the show grounds, Blew down the entertainment building and turned the show grounds into FEMA housing for 6 months.

One thing it didn't blow away was the Hart Cabin, shown here shortly after the storm.

So much for Building codes.
